For Monarchy

I think Bnai Yisroel needs a king. It just is not right for when only 1 nation does not have a king. It shows that the nation is week. Right there is a great reason to have a monarchy. In Saifer Davarim all of Yisroel complains that they want a king, they want to be like everyone else, the non-Jews. Hashem asked Bnai Yisroel if they really wanted a king and Bani Yisroel answered yes because it was not a bad idea to have a leader and be like the other nations. There are many great things about having a king. Some reasons are such as father and son have similar ideas, if you like the king he will be there for a while, and a king can make long-term decisions. When a king dies or gets killed, the son usually takes over. The son and the father usually have the same ideas because the son grew up watching what his Father did. When you like the king and his ideas, the son will be almost exactly the same. Monarchies are good for exactly that reason. If you liked the current king, then there is no reason why you would not like the next king in line. The thing with a king is that he is going to be there for a while. The king is there for until he dies and then someone else comes into power. When you like the king you are going to be happy with him and probably be happy with the next king also who will be his son who will have almost the same ideas. When you don’t like the King a new king will come. Shaul was there for a long time and not everyone like him but when Shaul dies Dovid comes in and is much better for Bnai Yisroel. Dovid is a great king for Bnai Yisroel and is there for a long time and does many great things for Yisroel. When Dovid dies Shlomo takes over. Shlomo was just like Dovid in many ways. Just like

Dovid he wanted to build the Beit Hamikdash but Dovid wasn’t able to while Shlomo was. The difference when you have a king and when you don’t is what he decides. When the king makes decisions it might look bad in the short run but in the long run it will be great for the nation. When you have a king that can happen but when there is someone in power for a certain amount of time he cannot do that. When Moshe was the leader for Bnai Yisroel he made the decisions for Bnai Yisroel and then they ended up getting to Eretez Yisroel and they were fine. If there were other people in power for certain amount of time, they might not have been able to make it to Yisroel. That is why monarchy is great for Yisroel.
