Connecting Network Drives (FlexTk Server LX Only)

FlexTk Server LX allows one to perform all types of file management operations on files located on network drives and external NAS storage devices. The first way to do that is to use UNC path names in user-defined commands. The second way to manage files located on network drives is to map one or more network drives as disks letters. Due to the fact that FlexTk Server runs in the background as a Windows service, Windows creates for it a separate logon session with its own list of mapped network drives and therefore network drives mapped using a regular user account will be invisible to FlexTk Server. For a network drive to be visible to FlexTk Server it should be mapped from the FlexTk’s service logon session.

In order to map a network drive, login into FlexTk Server, select the ‘Home’ menu, select the ‘Connect’ item in the extended command list and click on the ‘Execute’ icon. On the ‘Connect Network Drive’ page, select the local disk letter, enter the network share name, user name and password, and press the ‘Connect’ button. Once a network share is connected it will be displayed in the list of disks on the file system home page. In order to disconnect a previously mapped network disk, just click on the ‘Disconnect’ button located in the list of tools.
