LABOUR Currently Aqualite provides employment to over 5,000 people from different regions of the country. While company takes care of everyone associated with it, even its labour is equally taken care of by providing them every right and facility necessary. Basic Facilities include: 1. Transportation-Company has 5 buses to pick and drop its workers at pre-determined stops. 2. First Aid- First aid kits are widely available in all factories to provide immediate help incase of any accident.

3. Fire Extinguishers- They are being installed in every distance of 20meters at every floor. 4. Meals- Soft drink along with a bite snack is provided everyday during break time.

5. Working hours- there are 2 shifts (day and night) with a time duration of 10 hours. In every shift 2 30minutes breaks are given to workers so that they can have something or relax for a while. 6. Paid Leaves- Every shop-floor worker is entitled to 3 paid leaves in a month.

7. Bonuses- There is monthly target given and if it is achieved a small party is given to everyone, along with cash bonus to their head. 8. Bank Accounts- After demonetization, company has begun its process of opening bank account of very labour so that they don’t have to face any crisis in the long-term.

Apart from this, even though being a private firm various Labour Laws are taken care of. Like: 1. Payment of Wages Act 1936- all the workers are given their wages on time and without any unauthorized deductions. Also, adequate wages are given according to the wage slabs that government has defined. 2. Workmen’s Compensation Act 1923- in case of any accident worker is provided with necessary medical treatment and also compensation. 3. Insurance- Aqualite has started insuring all of its workers. So that they and their family feel financially safe incase of any serious accident. 4. Discrimination- In Aqualite, there is no gender or caste discrimination. Company has started providing employment to women also and even on higher posts. Currently there are 450 women workers in all the factories. Everyone is motivated to work as a family here. 5. Factories Act 1948- It covers following aspects a. Prohibition of Children in the factory- no person below the age of 14 is allowed to work in factory. b. Overtime Wages.

c. Safe working environment. d. Shelters, canteens, washrooms, proper ventilation, drinking water an some other essential things. Apart from all this, directors have decided to make open gardens with swings in new factories so that children whose mothers are working here can also be with them and workers can enjoy fresh air while working.
