FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Pre Joining Related Queries 1. Do I have to send a signed copy of the Offer letter back to Infosys? There is no need to send across a signed copy of the offer letter. You need to submit the duplicate copy of the Offer Letter duly signed at the time of joining Infosys.

2. When would I get to know about the Date of Joining and the Location of training? An email would be sent to you communicating both the Date of Joining as well as the Location of Training one month in advance.

3. Would I be given a joining date before I complete my graduation / post graduation course The joining date for the students is decided taking into account the course completion date and our business requirements. In the past, we have asked students to join us as soon as they have finished their final exams, even before they received their final degree certificate.

4. My friend has received the Date of Joining letter from Infosys and I have not received the same. What should I do? We have different batches for training starting on different dates. There have been situations wherein we have allocated students from same college to different batches. So there is no need to panic when your friend has got the joining letter and you have not.

5. Do I need to maintain my simple average/aggregates/CGPA for all qualifications above the cut-off even at the time of joining? It is very important that you maintain the simple average/aggregate percentage of marks above the academic cut-off detailed out in the Pre Placement Talk. You will also recall that we had stressed upon this aspect during the post-placement talk as well as through an e-mail to your Placement Officer. At the time of making the offer, we have considered your simple average / aggregate percentages / CGPA available till then. At the time of joining, the simple average / aggregate / CGPA will be calculated for each of your qualifications, based on all the subjects/semesters/years. It is important that you meet the eligibility criteria at the time of joining as well.

6. Whom should I contact for any change in the communication address / email address or spelling mistakes / errors in the offer letter? We request you to get in touch with your Placement Officer with the changes and request him/her to pass on the information to us.

Yes, it is recommended that you quote the reference number (mentioned on the offer letter) in all your correspondence with us. This would enable us to give a timely reply.

At the time of Joining 1. What are the documents that I should carry along at the time of joining? Original copy plus one duplicate copy of the following documents 9 Offer letter 9 Date of Joining letter 9 Class 10 (or equivalent) mark sheets 9 Class 12 (or equivalent) mark sheets 9 Graduation Marks Sheet (s) 9 Final Graduation Degree Certificate 9 Provisional Degree Certificate in case the final certificate is not available 9 Post Graduation Marks Sheet (if applicable) 9 Diploma Certificate (if applicable) 9 Prior Experience Certificate (s) (if applicable) 9 Passport (with ECNR clearance completed)

2. I am yet to receive my final mark sheets and provisional degree certificate? Can I produce them after I join? Please bring all the mark sheets and certificates that you currently have with you. You would need to produce the final mark sheet / provisional degree certificate within 3 months of your joining.

3. I have lost my SSLC / PUC / BE marks sheets. Can I get a Xerox copy, since it takes time to get duplicate copy? In this situation, it is mandatory that you bring the duplicate copy of your original marks sheets at the time of joining Infosys.

4. I don’t have a passport; do I need to apply for one? It is desired that at the time of joining Infosys, you submit the passport details. However, if you do not have a passport yet, we urge you to apply for the same immediately so that you can collect it at the earliest.

5. Is there a service agreement? Yes, you need to sign a service agreement with Infosys for a period of 12 months from the date of joining.

Training Related Queries 1. At which location would I be trained? In India, Infosys has Development Centers across nine cities. Your training could be in any of these Development Centers.

2. Do I get to choose a particular location for my training? The training location is determined based on the availability of training infrastructure. We request you to be flexible in terms of training locations.

3. Do I get to choose my location of posting after training? The location of posting is allocated taking into account your preference as well as business requirements. You are expected to be mobile and operate out of any of our Development Centers in India.

Software Engineer 1. What will be my responsibilities be as a software engineer? As a Software Engineer, you could work in one or more of the following areas. 9 Design: Preparation of high level designs, class specification and documents required for developing the software 9 Development: Actual process of development which includes coding and review 9 Testing: Unit testing and integration testing of the solution or application 9 Implementation: Implementation of software / application is mostly done at the onsite. The offshore developers having knowledge of specific technology are also involved in the implementation process. 9 Maintenance and Enhancement: Execution of change requests, maintenance of application / solutions
