Hertitage Park Heritage Park is one of the largets public parks in Oakland Xounty. It boasts 211 acres featuring hills, meadows, wetlands, and forests. 4.5 miles of trails for hiking and nature study. There are also educational opportunities avaiilable in many of the parks recreational facilities. During the summer, members of the community and visitors alike can sign up for classes ranging from art to writing to nature conservation at a very low cost.

Founders Festival From classic rock to eclectic cuisine, the Founders Festival is Farmington’s can’t miss event! The Farmington Founders Festival has been a favorite southeast Michigan event for 45 years. What began as a tribute to the city’s unique Quaker heritage is now a weekend-long celebration of art, music and community. In 2009, the Farmington Downtown Development Authority adopted leadership of festival organization and planning. The DDA has enhanced the Founders Festival with even more fun things to do and popular live entertainment. Today

the festival is an exciting mix of community traditions and cultural trends. On Saturday morning people will line the streets for the Founders Festival Parade, and Art on the Grand welcomes artists from across the country to display their works . You can also shop one-of-a-kind items at the Crafters Marketplaceor meet up with friends and neighbors for music and drinks at Walker's Tavern. Enjoy fine refreshments and catch a movie under the stars. For the literary fans, browse through bestsellers at the book sale. All ages can have fun with games, rides, and crafts galore!

Heritage Park is also home to many events throughout the year including outdoor concerts, picnics, and organized outdoor events such as volleyball and Frisbee. In addition, there is an annual duck race to support cancer research.

The Governor Mansion The Governor Warner Mansion and Museum is a Victorian Italianate structure built in 1867 by P. D. Warner, the Governor’s father, and is furnished in late Victorian style. Sitting on almost three acres, the house is surrounded by gardens lovingly tended by the Museum Garden auxiliary. While the museum is an importnat historical landmark in Farmington Hills, it is also a significant place for social gathering. Traditionally, students of the three Farmington District high schools father to take pictures and mingle with families on the night of their senior proms. The Mansion is also available to rent and use for other special occaisions, gatherings, and fundraisers and also has tours as it is a museum. The Governor Warner Museum is usually open on Wednesdays and one Sunday per month from 1:00-5:00 pm.

Farmington Civic Theater A landmark in Downtown Farmington, Michigan, the Farmington Civic Theater is one of the few old-fashioned movie houses still in operation in southeastern Michigan. Designed by the late C. Howard Crane in Art Moderne style, the theater has an elegant blade marquee and facade, in shades of red and off-white. Originally opened in 1940, the Farmington Civic was owned and operated by the Hohler family for 59 years. During the winter of 1989-1990, architect Louis Wiltse converted the balcony into a second auditorium. The theater's old-time charm returned when the City of Farmington took ownership in 1999. The interior of the theater was fully rebuilt and a new sound system was installed, as well as cushioned love seats equipped with arm rests and drink holders. Today you will find popular, albeit slightly less new, movies being shown at bargain admission prices.

Farmington Hills is a city in Southeastern Michigan. It is the largest city in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. Its population was 82,111 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 33.3 square miles (86.2 km²), all land. Features of the community include a recently renovated downtown, shops, a vintage cinema, numerous restaurants, upscale car dealerships, art galleries, and one of Oakland County's largest public parks, Heritage Park. There are many historical sites and fun things to do no matter what time of the year you decide to come and visit!
