Report Accompanying the Estimate for “Providing False ceiling to workshop shed and sub. Division office shed for utilizing as class rooms and Mess respectively for 21st Century Gurukulam in T.G.P. Camp colony at K.R.Dam. Estimate Rs. 2,65,167/­ The   Government   of   Andhra   Pradesh   have   recently   launched   a   Project   by   name   “21st  CENTURY GURUKULAM” with a good intention that the students of rural area get benefiting with day to  day changes. As a part of development activity far rural areas, Andhra Pradesh, Government have decided  to   establish   an   Institute   in   Kandaleru   Project   area.     In   this   connection   S.V.   University   Vice   Chancellor,  Chairman for Higher Education Department, District Collector and Superintending Engineer, SSLC & SB  Circle, Nellore along with Member of Legislative Assembly of Rapur inspected the dam site on  8.2.07 in the  first   instance.     Subsequently  a   team   of   members   from   Higher   Education   Department   of   Andhra   Pradesh  visited dam site along with Hon’ble Minister for information & Public relation and Tourism on 26.05.2007.  They have decided to make use of the existing buildings in K.R. Dam.  As a part, workshop shed proposed a  class   rooms   and   Mechanical   sub.division   office   as   Mess,   after   getting   necessary   renovation   work   done,  accommodation   for   100   Nos.   of   students   and   12   Nos.   of   staf   in   the   Quarters   of   T.G.P.   Camp   colony   at  K.R.Dam. In this regard a meeting was conducted in Hon’ble Minister’s presence with Zilla Parishad  Chairman, Nellore, Nelloe District Collector, 21st Century Gurukulam Co­Ordinators and Executive Engineer,  SSLC & SB Division No.2, Nellore. In above meeting it is decided to provided funds for class room shed Mess shed renovation  work from Collector’s fund.  Road, Gate, Fencing work from Z.P. funds and repairs to Quarters from T.G.P.  Funds. In this contest, the fact is that the construction of quarters, store shed, Mechanical workshop  sheds   etc.,   were   constructed   during   the   year   1985.     The   formation   of   Kandaleru   Earth   dam   bund   was  completed during the year 1997.  The Work shop yard and Store yard area and sheds were utilized by the then 

Mechanical staff.  After 1997 there is no maintenance activity in workshop as well as store yards.  Major part  of Machinery kept idle were sold­out conducting auction.  At present only Major part is left out. Hence this estimate is prepared with the following provisions

Supplying and fixing of thermo coal False Ceiling 2' x 2' (609.6mm x 609.6mm) Gide fixing  anodized alluminimum “L”  angle of size 24' x 38' x 1mm including with all necessary fittings for  finished item of work for 25 mm thick ceiling including scaffolding Charges etc. complete

Repairs to GI sheet roofing Holes with Bolts & Nuts and washers including laying of Tar Sheet on  of Ridge to a width of 0.90M including cost and conveyance of all materials and labour charges.

Painting to roof trushes with Metal Primary Coat and over that two coats of best enamel paint  including   cast  and   conveyance   of   all   materials   and   labour   charges,   Centring,   Scaffolding   etc,  complete for finished Item of work.

Rates : The rates are obtained as per current SSR for the year 2007– 2008 and local Market rates. Programme   of   Work   :  The   work   is   to   be   taken   up   during   8/07   and   will   be   completed   9/07   through  nomination approved by District Collector. Funds : Funds are allotted from District Collector’s Fund from intrest on land funds vide Dist. Collector Lr.  No: Rc.D23874/2007 Dt: 29.08.07
