You will be creating a GoogleDoc to gather evidence for your five paragraph essay assignment. I will give you a due date when I return. This will be an individual assignment.

STEP #1

You will be opening a Google Doc. The title of the document will be:

STEP #2 ❖

Set up your page:

1. Click on FILE and PAGE SETUP. Make sure all of the boxes under margins have a 1 in them. This will give you one inch of white space on all sides. 2.Click on FORMAT and then LINE SPACING. Make sure that DOUBLE is checked. 3.Set the font to Times New Roman 12.

STEP #4

Get out your Essay Questions handout for the Outsiders. If you do not have the handout, find them on the ELA page.

Then, choose your essay question and type it on your GoogleDoc.

Once you have done that, click on INSERT and TABLE to make a 5 x 4 Table. Look at the sample table below this slideshow and type in the words exactly as I have them.

Now, read through the essay question. Look at your group’s DDAT chart and Cornell Notes.

If you find any details that can help you in the answer the question, put them in the appropriate boxes with the page numbers. You must have four similarities for paragraph #1. You must have four differences THAT ARE RELATED for paragraph #2, and four MORE differences for paragraph #3.

You must have details in all the boxes that are related to your essay question to get credit for this assignment. Do this assignment by yourself today. You will have time to consult with your group members later.
