Ernest Everett Just biologists educator Ernest was one of the most highly respectful scientist in his time. He received a PhD. He wrote one of the most important text books in the 20th century call Biology of the cell surface. Soon he was diagnose with cancer and failed.

Benjamin Benneker Mathematician Astronomer Benjamin was called intellectual which mean self thought. He studies the inside of his friends watch. He also thought himself astronomy he predicted a solar eclipse in 1789.He also wrote the first African American almanac book.

Jame West Acoustician & Inventor James studied physics. He specialized in microphones development. He developed a foil electric microphone. He was also the founder of the first black association of laboratory employees.

George Washington Carver Educator Scientist George did not get accepted to Kansas university because he was black. He was very successful though, he earned a bachelors degree in agriculture science and a masters degree in 1896. He changed southern agriculture by introducing peanut, soybean, and sweet potato for replenish soil. before he died he donated all his savings to Tuskegee for more research in agricultur.

Aprille Ericsson Aerospace Engineer NASA Aprille was the first African American to get a PhD from Howard university. Currently she is an instrument manager from a mission to bring back dust from the Martian lower atmosphere back to earth.
