God, come to my assistance - Lord, make haste to help me. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; As it was in the beginning is now, and will be forever. Amen. (Alleluia) Hymn: Lord Jesus Christ, abide with us, now that the sun has run its course; Let hope. Not be obscured by night, but may faith’s darkness be as light. Lord Jesus Christ, grant us your peace, And when the trials of earth shall cease; grant us the morning light of grace, the radiant splendor of your face. Immortal, Holy Threefold light, Yours be the kingdom, pow’r and might; All glory be eternally To you, life giving Trinity. Ant. 1: To you, O Lord, I cry for help Psalm 119: 81-88

My soul longs for your salvation; I put my hope in your word. My eyes long to see your promise. When will you comfort me? I am like a wineskin shriveled by smoke, but I have not forgotten your statutes. How long can your servant survive? When will your judgment doom my foes? The arrogant have dug pits for me; defying your law. All your commandments are steadfast. Help me! I am pursued without cause. They have almost put an end to me on earth, but I do not forsake your precepts. In your mercy give me life, to observe the testimonies of your mouth.

Ant 2: My soul is in anguish, my heart is in torment. Psalm 143:1-11

LORD, hear my prayer; in your faithfulness listen to my pleading; answer me in your righteousness. Do not enter into judgment with your servant; before you no one can be just. The enemy has pursued my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground. He has made me dwell in darkness like those long dead. My spirit is faint within me; my heart despairs. I remember the days of old; I ponder all your deeds; the works of your hands I recall. I stretch out my hands toward you, my soul to you like a parched land. Hasten to answer me, LORD; for my spirit fails me. Do not hide your face from me, lest I become like those descending to the pit. In the morning let me hear of your mercy, for in you I trust. Show me the path I should walk, for I entrust my life to you. Rescue me, LORD, from my foes, for I seek refuge in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your kind spirit guide me on ground that is level. For your name’s sake, LORD, give me life; in your righteousness lead my soul out of distress. Ant 3: Our hope is not in vain, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts. Canticle Romans 4.24, 25; 5.1-5, 8, 9, 11 A song of the Justified

It was also for us, to whom it will be credited, who believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, Who was handed over for our transgressions and was raised for our justification. Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Through whom we have gained access [by faith] to this grace in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we even boast of our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, And endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope,c And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy Spirit that has been given to us. But God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. How much more then, since we are now justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from the wrath. Not only that, but we also boast of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Reading:

- For your judgments are good. Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit - Turn away from me the Taunts I dread, for your judgements are good. Canticle of Mary: My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior for he has looked with favour on his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed; the Almighty has done great things for me and holy is his name. He has mercy on those who fear him, from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm and has scattered the proud in their conceit, He has cast down the mighty from their thrones and has lifted up the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty. He has come to the help of his servant Israel, for he has remembered his promise of mercy, The promise made to our fathers, to Abraham and his children for ever. Intercessions:

Philippians 4: 4-6

Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Responsory Turn away from me the taunts I dread, for your judgments are good. - turn away from me the taunts I dread, for your judgments are good. Let your mercy come to me, LORD.

Our Father… Prayer: Lord, we reach out to you for your guidance. Please show us which way to turn. Calm our anxious thoughts and speak into our minds. Strengthen us as we falter and feel weary. May we be strengthen in rising up within our hearts. Bring clarity into our visions and dreams. We trust that you are with us, no matter where we go, Or what we decide to do. You journey with us always. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
