1) User Maintenance (T code: SU01) a) Assign the profile S_A.SCON and communication method as Remote mail b) Specify mail address for a user, under E-mail on the tab page Address
2) Assigning the client (T code: SICF) Every SAP system client that is to receive and process incoming mails must have an SMTP server. 3) SAP connect Administration (T code: SCOT) Settings >> Default Domain (Define the domain of the SAP system client)
Each client has an SMTP node. This node is created by the SAP system. Double click the node name, choose Node in use. In the Mail Host and Mail port fields, specify the mail server to which the outbound mails are to be sent. “Internet” choose “Set”
Enter “ * ” in the Address area if all mails are to be sent using SMTP. Enter the output format for SAP documents.
4) Job Configuration (T code: SCOT) Emails sent from an SAP application are first stored in a queue. SAP connect send the job, gets the e-mails from this queue and sends them over the internet. To schedule ths job in SAP connect; Choose view >> Jobs
Choose Create, Enter a job name
5) Precalculation Server ( T code: RSPRECADMIN) For broadcasting reports we need Precalculation server. We need to install the latest version of Precalculation server. For changing the settings we need to ask BASIS people for help.
BASIS people need to do some Gateway settings (T code: SMGW), Server and Local machine settings for Precalculation Server configuration. If the BW Precalculation server is ready , then we could broadcast the BEx workbooks. 6) Broadcasting workbooks Log On to BEx >> Open Workbook
Once we selected Distribute Workbook option it will open a browser window. Change the settings for the selected workbook to distribute. Below images are not from our system;
