English French Switch

Dear Mahmud, The new bilingual English / French set-up of our windows operating system is ready. Please find along instructions of how to toggle between English and French: To shift the Windows operating system from English to French the user has to do the following then logoff and logon again: 1. Logon using your username and password.

2. Go to START 3. Control Panel 4. Regional and Language Options 5. Languages (Tab) 6. Languages used in menus and dialogs 7. Choose Francais 8. Click on OK 9. You will get the following message (Changes to the UI language will not take effect until you logoff and logon again) 10. Click on OK 11. Logoff then Logon Now you will get Windows menus in French language and it will stay French every time you use the same user name till you shift it back to English using the proceeding instructions. To shift the operating system from French to English the user has to do the following then logoff and logon again: 1. Logon using your username and password.

2. Go to demarrer 3. Panneau de Configuration 4. Options regionales et Linguistigues

5. Langues (Tab) 6. Langue utilize dans les menus et boites de dialogue 7. Choose English 8. Click on OK 9. You will get the following message (Le changement de langue de l’interface utilisateur ne prendra effet que lorsque vous aurez ferme cette session et ouvret une nouvelle session) 10. Click on OK 11. Logoff then Logon Now you will get Windows menus in English language and it will stay English every time you use the same user name till you shift it back to French using the previous instructions. If you have already enabled English or French Windows version, the procedure to shift Microsoft Office 2003 from English to French is as follows. The user has to do the following then start MS Office without logoff. 1. Logon using your username and password.

2. Go to START 3. All Programs 4. Microsoft Office 5. Microsoft Office Tools 6. Microsoft Office 2003 Language Settings 7. User Interface and Help (Tab) 8. Choose Francais for “Display Office in” field 9. Choose Francais for “Display Help in” field 10. Click on OK 11. You will get the following message (The language settings have been updated and will take effect the next time you start your office applications )

12. Click on OK 13. Start your office application Now you will get Microsoft Office menus in French language and it will stay French every time you use the same user name till you shift it back to English using the proceeding instructions. If you have already enabled English or French Windows version, the procedure to shift Microsoft Office 2003 from French to English is as follows. The user has to do the following then start MS Office without logoff. 1. Logon using your username and password.

2. Go to START 3. All Programs 4. Microsoft Office 5. Microsoft Office Tools 6. Microsoft Office 2003 Language Settings 7. Interface utilisateur et aide (Tab) 8. Choose English for “Afficher Office 2003 en” field 9. Choose English for “Afficher l’aide en” field 10. Click on OK 11. You will get the following message (Les parameters de langue ont ete mis a jour et seront pris en compte la prochaine fois que vous demarrerez office ) 12. Click on OK 13. Start your office application Now you will get Microsoft Office menus in French language and it will stay French every time you use the same user name till you shift it back to English using the proceeding instructions.
