CONCEPT OF eGOVERNANCE According To David Zussman:

 

“E-governance is no more and no less than governance in an electronic environment. It is both governance of that environment and governance within that environment, using electronic tools.”

Pushing information over the Internet, e.g: regulatory services, general holidays, public hearing schedules, issue briefs, notifications, etc.  Two-way communications between the agency and the citizen, a business, or another government agency. In this model, users can engage in dialogue with agencies and post problems, comments, or requests to the agency.  Conducting transactions, e.g: lodging tax returns, applying for services and grants.  Governance, e.g: online polling, voting, and campaigning. 

maintain immense land records & village maps.

work was done manually by the revenue officials.

department of revenue in Karnataka state has computerized 20 million farmers in the state. Simplify the procedure of immense record-keeping. Reduce hardship of poor farmers. More accountable, transparent & responsive system. Anupam Gautam & Richa

PROJECT - GYANDOOT Supplying

information regarding current rate of crops at a very nominal fee of Rs.5. Documents containing information of land records to be given at a fee of Rs.15. Application with regards to domicile or income or caste certificate can be sent through e-mail at a cost of Rs.10. Complaint

of poor quality of seed, fertilizers, drinking water, nonfunctioning of schools or panchayats, village committee etc. can be lodged at Rs.10. Provide auction facility for land, machines & other durables at a fee of Rs.25 for 3 months. Some centers facilitate miscellaneous services including onlinematrimonial, photo-copy, STD-PCO & horoscope services.
