A higher power objective lens has greater magnification than a lower power objective lens. In what other way does the low-power objective lens differ from the high-power objective lens? High powered allows you to "zoom in" closer and see more detail, and a low power allows a larger field of view with less detail. What is the total magnification of a specimen when being viewed with an objective lens with a magnification of 45x? 2025x What is the magnification of the eyepiece? Calculating total magnification is pretty simple. Take the magnification of the eyepiece and multiply by the magnification of the objective.
