The ESOPHAGUS is a tube that connects the mouth to the stomach.
• The way the esophagus work is what leads the food to the stomach.
The STOMACH is a muscular sac that can stretch to nearly it’s original size and holds up to two liters of food also absorbs nutrients.
• The stomach contains acids, bile salts, amylases, proteases, nucleases, and lipases.
The LIVERand the pancreas help digest fats, carbohydrates, and proteins in the small intestine. The liver secrets bile through the gallbladder and the pancreas secretes alkaline fluid and digestive enzymes.

The SMALL INTESTINE is a long narrow tube in which digestion takes place.
• The small intestine has the duodenum, jejunum, ileum.
The Rectum/Anus/Large Intestine these are the parts of the body that helps you release feces which means to go to the restroom.
