are there any anchor vendor programmes by MITI for food and agriculture-based industry where Bumiputera’s small and medium industry (SMI) companies will be merged with big multinational companies as being done by MITI for automotive, electronic industries and many more.

Is the Ministry planning to ban this advertisement as being done towards cigarette advertisements.

PR-1123-L5501 Tuan Chong Hon Min [ Sandakan ] to ask the MINISTER OF TOURISM to state :(a)

in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2007, what are the steps taken to preserve natural environment of tourist attractions especially in the state of Sandakan.; and

(b)

in Pulau Sipadan, Sabah recently there is an infrastructure construction going on with the cost of RM 5 million, which has devastated the natural flora and fauna of the land, whereas the Government has issued order to demolish any buildings in that area before 31 Dis 2004 with the reason it has destroyed the natural ecology of the island. Why is this happening.

Is there any actions taken by the government on this.

PR-1123-U4333 Datuk Dr. Marcus Mojigoh [ Putatan ] to move:" Bahawa Dewan ini mengambil maklum bahawa peranan yang dimainkan oleh Angkatan Relawan Negara atau RELA amatlah besar dalam memastikan keselamatan kampung-kampung dan persekitarannya dan mengambil maklum bahawa selaras dengan hasrat Kerajaan untuk menubuhkan lebih banyak lagi Platun Rela di seluruh negara. Ini tentu sekali akan memerlukan perbelanjaan yang besar bagi pakaian seragam iaitu menjangkau sebanyak RM338.00 bagi setiap seorang anggota dan mengambil maklum bahawa sekiranya dalam sebuah kawasan Parlimen memiliki 10 Platun RELA dengan keanggotaan seramai 30 setiap Platun, ini menjadikan jumlah anggota dalam kawasan adalah seramai 300 anggota dan jumlah kos pakaian adalah sebanyak RM101,400.00. Maka dengan ini Dewan hendaklah mengambil ketetapan untuk meminta Kerajaan untuk menyediakan Dana Khas bagi pembekalan pakaian seragam anggota RELA di seluruh negara dan dengan ini peruntukan wakil rakyat dapat disalurkan khas bagi tujuan pembangunan kawasan."

PR-1123-U4336 Datuk Dr. Marcus Mojigoh [ Putatan ] to move:" Bahawa Dewan ini mengambil maklum bahawa peranan yang dimainkan Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) dalam mempertingkatkan lagi mutu pendidikan tinggi negara amatlah besar dan mengambil maklum bahawa selaras dengan hasrat Kerajaan untuk menjadikan pertanian sebagai asas utama pembangunan ekonomi negara seperti mana yang digariskan dalam RMK-9 dan mengambil maklum bahawa selaras cadangan penubuhan sekolah berasaskan pertanian yang menawarkan Diploma oleh Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Maka dengan ini Dewan hendaklah mengambil ketetapan untuk meminta Kerajaan untuk mengambil alih Pusat Latihan Bersepadu (IATC) pertanian yang terletak di Putatan."

PR-1123-U4337 Datuk Dr. Marcus Mojigoh [ Putatan ] to move:" Bahawa Dewan ini mengambil maklum bahawa negara Malaysia kaya dengan kesenian terutama sekali dari jenis alat-alat bunyian dari seluruh kaum dan kumpulan etnik di Malaysia dan mengambil maklum bahawa semua jenis alat-alat muzik ini misalnya Kulintangan, Gong, Gambus dan lain-lain lagi mempunyai keunikan bunyinya sendiri. Maka dengan ini Dewan hendaklah mengambil ketetapan untuk meminta Kerajaan untuk menjalankan kajian terperinci bagi tujuan untuk memajukan dan memantapkan nilai komersial alat-alat bunyian ini dan dapat dipermodenkan untuk dijadikan produk muzik negara untuk tujuan dikomersialkan di luar negara."

Dewan juga hendak mengetahui tindakan efektif Kerajaaan tentang bencana Highland Towers pada 1993, Taman Hill View 2002 dan Kampung Pasir, Hulu Klang, 2006."

Puan Fong Po Kuan [ Batu Gajah ] to move:“Bahawa Yang Di Pertua Dewan Rakyat telah silap dengan keputusannya dengan tidak mengemukakan penyata khas Jawatankuasa Peraturan Mesyuarat Majlis Mesyuarat Dewan Rakyat iaitu Kertas Dewan Rakyat DR 9. Tahun 2005 pada 11.5.2006 yang lalu untuk dibahaskan. Usul tersebut melibatkan pindaan serius yang memerlukan perbahasan yang mendalam serta penjelasan daripada pihak Kerajaan. Pindaan kepada Peraturan Majlis Mesyuarat yang dikemukakan di dalam Dewan sebelum ini ada dibuka untuk perbahasan Ahli-ahli. Kegagalan pindaan dikemukakan untuk dibahas akan menimbulkan kesan yang serius di masa kelak semasa perjalanan mesyuarat, terutamanya semasa Ahli-ahli Parlimen (DR) memainkan peranannya membangkitkan hal ehwal kawasan masing-masing. Kekaburan pindaan turut akan menyebabkan salah tafsir untuk pemakaiannya semasa perjalanan Mesyuarat. Oleh itu, keputusan Yang Di Pertua perlu diulangkaji semula.”
