Developing Intuition By Anthony J. Fejfar, B.A., J.D., Esq., Coif © Copyright 2009 by Anthony J. Fejfar Cognitive Intuition is available to both men and women. Intuition is that Cognitive Capability which sees the “big picture” and sees things that others may not see. Intuition connects the Body Mind of the Solar Plexus with the Right Brain. Advanced Intuition is interactive and draws upon both brain hemispheres, developing intellectual thought processes.

Previously, I have argued that a person can develop Intuition through

sustained Meditation. Here, however, I argue that Intuition can be developed at an early age through the development of Analogical Logic or Reasoning, a type of reasoning often used by Lawyers. Analogical Reasoning developes the Right Brain hemisphere which is typically unconscious and instead developes a Preconscious Mind which is Intuitive. Analogical Reasoning is best taught using Math. First, you teach Analogical Reasoning in Concrete Operations through counting pieces of fruit, stick counting, Roman Numeral counting, and number counting. Next, you teach Analogical Reasoning in Formal Operations using Math exercises involving Fractions where you must solve for an analogous Fraction. Thus, ½ is analogous to 2/4, and so on. If you do this enough you begin to analogically free associate in your right brain hemisphere and begin to develop Preconscious Intuition.
