It was a early evening when new kids starting arriving at the neighborhood. Valerie Quay was there to welcome them together with other top officials. The estimated number of new arrivals was about 50, the new kids quickly organized themselves into factions. By nightfall they challenged each other to see who was top dog of the neighborhood, issuing best of the best challenges. Nevertheless, the neighborhood community leader had warm words of welcome for the new kids saying he hoped that they all enjoyed themselves and any problems arose, he would be available to meet their inquiries and con-

The new arrivals are just one of the many groups which come to the neighborhood every year. The clean streets, affordable standard of living, together with good transport links make it ideal. The INFORMER believes that its still early days to determine the impact of the new neighborhood arrivals. However, the INFORMER hopes that all would play their part and contribute to society in a positive manner.

INFORMER’s annual poll for person of the year has encountered a major obstacle. On the eve of the major announcement, the person of the year has sensationally gone missing! INFORMER has found out that this person has not gone far and is nearby.
Scores of bounty hunters, volunteers, NGOs and government officials have been looking for him. So far, the search has been futile. It is hoped that people will report if they have any further information to the relevant authorities.

I NVITATION TO 5 TH ANNUAL M ATHEMATIC CONFERENCE The Association of Christians in Mathematical Sciences (ACMS) is having their 5th annual mathematic conference with this years theme being “Resistance to arbitrary limitations on mathematical activity” Quoting directly from the ACMS website, ‘Intuitionists have objected to the law of the excluded middle and have insisted that all proofs be constructive. Other mathematicians have expressed discomfort with the notion of infinity, sometimes speaking of potential infinities as contrasted with actual infinities. Christian belief affirms the goodness of all of God’s creation including the human imagination. Thus as long as use of the excluded middle and non-constructive proofs do not lead to inconsistencies, Christians typically have no problem using them. Furthermore, they have no problems with the notion of an actual infinity or even with the notion that the entire Cantorian hierarchy may image concepts fully realized in the mind of God.’ The conference will be held today at ‘Sitio Uno‘. All guest are required to present their invitation password at the door.

E NGINEERING F IRM : W E C AN ’ T B UILD I T ! A local engineering firm has failed in its attempts to build a tower out of cards. So far all efforts have proven futile. One of the main reason it has been challenging for the engineers is because of the design. The architectures have decided that the tower can only be built from cards! The reason for them maintaining this is to keep it all natural with the environment.
Art nouveau (French for "new art") is a style in art, architecture and design that peaked in popularity at the beginning of the 20th century. Other, more localized terms for the cluster of selfconsciously radical, somewhat mannered reformist chic that formed a prelude to 20th-century modernism, included "Jugendstil" in Germany and the Netherlands, named for the snappy avant-garde periodical
Jugend ('Youth') or "Sezessionsstil" ('Secessionis m') in Vienna, where forward-looking artists and designers seceded from the mainstream salon exhibitions, to exhibit on their own in more congenial surroundings. It is hoped that volunteers would help undertake the challenge and assist them in building the tallest tower out of cards possible.

rying a hard boiled egg around is the equivalent of an energy bar but a healthier option. In an interview with leading nutritionist, Dr. Cobia Hook, “Eggs can be cooked in all sort of styles such as hard boiled, half boiled, sunny side up, scrambled just to name a few. The benefits of eating egg is undeniable. It is an awesome idea to carry an egg around and have it at the end of a tiring jog”.
The INFORMER believes that while it might be a craze in the US, the concept might be harder to catch on here in our town. However, its our duty to report the latest trends. In case the trend ever invades our shores we have to be prepared. DAS is therefore organizing an event at the ‘Cocina’. Please make your way there and get ready for an interesting egg breaking activity.

YOU KNOW A CELEBRITY WHEN YOU SEE ONE ?
A celebrity is a person who is widely recognized (famous) in a society and commands a degree of public and media attention.
There has to be a level of public interest in the person which may or may not be connected to the reason they are famous.
The word stems from the Latin celebritas, itself from the adjective celeber meaning 'famous, celebrated'. While fame is generally considered to be the major prerequisite for celebrity status, it is not always sufficient.
For example, a public figure such as a politician, industry leader etc. may be famous but not a celebrity unless something else triggers public and mass media interest (e.g. Virgin Director Richard Branson attempting to
