Technical Experience Project Information 1. Project : GEM-A-IBM Content Manager Type : Maintenance & Support Platform : Sun Solaris 9/10 Technology : J2EE Tools : IBM DB2 Contene Manager, Tivoli Storage Manager Client : General Electric (GE) Duration : Jan 2008 till date Role : Team member (build and support) I2R: Regional Services (I2R) is a web-based application for Customer Service Representative (CSR) of GE credit cards. CSRs use this application to resolve queries and complaints of customers. Customers include credit card users of credit cards of major Clients in USA like Wal-Mart, Belk, Mervyns and ShopNBC. Queries are logged in the form of scanned credit card bills into the IBM Content Manager. Web pages are developed using JSP and Servlets which interact with the IBM CM item types to store and retrieve data. Item types are mapped to oracle database. The project uses IBM CM API to interact with items. CSRs resolve user queries using these web pages. Resolving a query is called as Indexing an Enquiry. Each customer has account number. Account number is validated by firing packet to FDR. Information is extracted from FDR and shown to CSRs on I2R screen. Enquiries are indexed based on this information. Indexing enquiries involves sending another packet to WorkStation database or FDR. WorkStation database stores all enquiries i.e. customer queries and complaints. WorkStation team then resolves queries by updating certain information about the customer. I am involved in support team of this project. Support for this project includes resolving any issue being faced by CSRs, Log monitoring, creating reports and sending it to client, etc. Also I participated in some of the change controls (like control report for clients). HBC: The project is a web based application for Customer Service Representatives of GE credit cards. CSRs use this application to process query related to the credit card applications submitted by customers. I contributed during requirement gathering, design, coding and testing phase of the project. My main responsibility during coding was to develop code for different packets which interact with other systems. Canadian Apps: The web based application is developed for CSRs for processing the query related to credit card applications. These queries are asked by customers and after looking at the application image of the application submitted by customers, the CSRs interact with some other systems. On the basis of the response received by other systems, CSRs takes the decision. Also the application has reporting functionality, which is being used by supervisor users. The functionality is used for viewing different reports. I was involved in the project during Requirement gathering, Analysis, Design, Coding and Testing. During coding my responsibility was reporting component.

PCI DSS: The project was initiated to make all the applications developed by IBM Content manager team as PCI complaint. The PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), a set of comprehensive requirements for enhancing payment account data security, was developed by the founding payment brands of the PCI Security Standards Council, including American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa Inc. Inc. International, to help facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures on a global basis. Objective of this project was to find the points where the system was not PCI compliant and do the needful to make it compliant. My role for this project was project owner. Interaction with clients during all phases of this project was one of the responsibilities held by me for this project. Several non-compliant points were identified. Code was modified to make applications compliant. Also various shell script was created/updated in order to make system PCI compliant. PCI DSS – IBM CM SSO implementation: The project was initiated as Phase 2 of PCI DSS project. Its scope was to implement PCI Compliance for User ID and Password of IBM Content Manager users. To achieve this objective, SSO enabling was required for all applications as existing SSO authentication is PCI compliant. Users (CSRs) can use their existing SSO ID and password to access Content Manager Applications. It eliminates the need to remember separate password for CM Applications. My responsibilities include communication with clients and other parties involved, document those communications, create requirement and design documents, and testing. IBM CM and TSM Installation & Upgradation and Production Box Migration: Objective of the project was to Install IBM CM and TSM on a new Solaris 10 box, upgrade IBM CM on new box to bring it upto the level of IBM CM on existing Solaris 9 box, move all the Content Manager applications from existing Solaris9 box to a new Solaris 10 box and then upgrade CM and TSM to latest security patch. The activity includes: • Content Manager 8.3 installation and Upgrade • Tivoli Storage Manager Installation and upgrade • Migration of Content Manager and Tivoli Storage Manager Database from old box to new box • CM and TSM Configurations on new box after data migration • Performance parameter tuning on new box • Establish FTP/SFTP/NDM communication with third party for new production box • Configuration, deployment, and testing of all web applications on new box • Configuration, deployment and testing of all batch jobs on new box Key responsibilities for me during the SDLC of the project includes • Requirement gathering, Creation of requirement doc, Design doc, test cases, testing, implementation plan creation and execution • Compatibility analysis of TSM and CM for hardware and software on new box • CM and TSM installation and configuration on Solaris 10 • CM and TSM migration from Solaris 9 box to Solaris 10 box • CM upgradation from existing fix pack 6 to fix pack 10 • TSM upgradation from existing TSM version 5.3 to version 5.5 • Create implementation plan for the migration • Communication with client • Communication with vendor to resolve issue faced during installation, upgradation and configuration • Create scripts for the plan implementation and various testing.

Resource Manager Decommissioning: Resource Manager is a component of the Content Manager. In the existing production environment, there are 4 resource managers. One resource Manager is the primary resource manager and remaining 3 are secondary. Secondary resource managers are installed on 3 different boxes. These resource manager need to be decommissioned as these 3 boxes are going to be decommissioned. The decommissioning activity includes taking backup of all the files uploaded on these resource managers, uninstall these resource managers and configure the Library Server after the decommissioning of these resource managers. My responsibility for this project is to do the impact analysis, POC for uninstalling and post uninstallation activity, and creating implementation plan for it. 2.
