MRA/MBA/FCL/20090123 DATED: 05/03/2009 Dear Customer, With ref to official statement dated 28th April, 09 issued by H&H Lines Head Office, the owners of Hansa Stavanger have declared General Average and therefore they will be seeking to obtain security from all cargo interests before the delivery of the containers to the Consignees. In this respect we have been asked by owners Average Adjusters to forward their instructions and requirements related to collection of security. Please find attached hereto as PDF files, the General Average security forms, i.e. Average Bond and Average Guarantee, to be submitted by Cargo and Container Interests as requested by Ship owners. We also attach hereto an additional PDF file with standard instructions on how to submit security and Supporting documents for your reference and information. Further to this, these are also the owners Avg Adjusters instructions on owners behalf to pass it on to you that at the discharging ports, the cargo and containers can only be released to the Receivers once all General Average securities have been provided as requested by Ship owner. For good order's sake, no cargo/containers should be delivered / released by carrier, unless (ship owners) confirm so in writing in the form of a Releasing Advice and carrier will be bound on these instructions. The owners avg adjusters below website will provide a list of Containers which are released as far as General Average formalities are concerned. This list will be updated as securities are received from Cargo/Container Interests.
