Concepts Cutting experiences become concepts when the child thinks and talks about them with an adult. Develop the ability to control the scissors.

Scissors are used for cutting paper.

Much practice is needed to use scissors effectively.

BASIS FOR SCHOOL

Parents Caregivers

Provide blunt scissors and opportunities for practice. Model how to cut. Talk about the activity. Use your home language. Praise your child’s attempts.
