Course Outcomes for “Computer Architecture and Parallel Processing” 1. Differentiate between von Neumann, Harvard, and modified Harvard architecture; and between CISC and RISC architectures. 2. Understand and design pipeline architecture in processors, and handle related issues. 3. Understand the working of various SIMD and MIMD processor architectures like vector and array processors, and multicore processors. 4. Design parallel algorithms, and implement them using parallel computing platforms. 5. Understand the concept of data-flow computers, and VLSI technology to design processors.
