 Vendor consignment material is stored by your company, but remains the property of the vendor until it is taken from the warehouse and consumed or transferred to your own stock  In vendor consignment, your material and the consignment material are managed under the same material number in SAP, yet as separate stock under the vendor's name  Vendor managed Inventory allows the vendor to use the customer’s current stock situation and sales figures to plan replenishment orders for the customer
