Colo_NESCO Royals Girl’s Soccer The Royals girl’s soccer team had their annual banquet this past Sunday. Coaches John Fuller and Randy Stoeffler talked about the improvement made this year and while the final record was 4-10, the team was very close to a much better record. Overall the team improved in all statistics from 2007 to 2008. While the team honored and said good-bye to 5 talented seniors, coaches Fuller and Stoeffler are very optimistic about the level of play of the returning girl’s next year. Receiving Awards were Seniors Hannah Fuller, Ceslie Ozbun, Lacy Phillips, Cami Reifschneider, and Dani Willis for being team captains this past year. Girls receiving awards were Alyssa Speake Flashy Freshman, Sydney Halferty Super Sophmore, Paige Gaedke Jamin’ Junior and Cami Reifschneider Stellar Senior. Jordan Wilson received the Team Spirit award, Hannah Fuller received the Most Valuable Player award and Katie Dunlap received the Most Improved award. Coaches Fuller and Stoeffler gave two caoches’ awards, Lacy Phillips Offensive Player and Katie Geisinger Defensive Player. Conference Honors were also awarded. Katie Dunlap, Katie Geisinger, Lacy Phillips and Alex Webster received conference honorable mention. Cami Reifschneider was voted second team all conference and Hannah Fuller received first team all conference honors. Lacy Phillips will continue her Soccer career playing at Iowa Western and Hannah Fuller is going to try out for the ISU Club Soccer Team this fall. First year Coach Randy Stoeffler received an award for his dedication to helping the team improve and his enthusiasm from the team and Coach Fuller. The coaches finished by praising the team on their effort to improve this year and the bright future of the program if this dedication continues.
