Collinear Trio There are points A, B, C, D, E, F, and G on a coordinate graph A= (0, 3) B= (-2, 11) C= (3, -3) D= (-1, 9) F= (6, -10) G= (-5, 19) H= (-6, 18)
E= (-3, 10)
Only three of these points are collinear- or they lie on the same line. Find the collinear pair. This problem didn’t expect you to just eyeball it or use a ruler to see which three points look linear to you. The solution is to find the slope using three points out of the group and see if they are all the same. To make it easier, you have to use a ruler to guess which three could be possible answers. If you are lucky, you will get the right answer. If not, you will have to keep guessing till you get the right answer I had to guess many, many times until I got the right answer. For me, I thought many of them were linear but realized soon enough that I was proven wrong. But after a long process of trial and error, I finally found the collinear pair.
