To Whom It May Concern; My name is Kelly Barreira. I am a kindergarten teacher at Truman Benedict Elementary in San Clemente, CA. I have worked at this school for almost 21 years. In my 21 years I have mentored 14 student teachers from a variety of colleges; Cal State Fullerton, UCI, San Marcos, Concordia, and National University. In addition, I have mentored approximately 35 interns from Saddleback College and Irvine Valley College. I love being a teacher and it is a blessing for me to share my joy, art, craft, and science with aspiring teachers. I am writing you today in the hopes of whole-heartedly expressing my enthusiasm for my previous student teacher and now fellow educator, Ms. Chelsea Ansari. I have known Ms. Ansari for approximately 20 years. I met Chelsea as a student in my class. She was a vibrant, enthusiastic scholar with a strong personality and a positive attitude. Ms. Ansari is still that, but is now an amazing, strong, talented, and intelligent adult. She was born to be a teacher and I was so impressed with her performance in my classroom. Chelsea is a driven, organized, creative teacher who develops inspiring relationships with her students. I believe my years of teaching and mentoring can vouch for my strong feelings. Although I have mentored many talented teachers, Ms. Ansari leads the pack. If you have any questions or would like to have me elaborate, I would love to. Please contact me at 949-370-8715 (my cell) or at 949-498-6617 (Truman Benedict).
Thank you,
Kelly Barreira
