Method Followed In Bangladesh In Bangladesh, the expenditure method is followed for calculating GDP.As Bangladesh is a developing country, we first estimate costs and then we assume our probable income.Now,our current GDP(09) is 5.419%[IMF-2009 World Economic Outlook]

Continued. In case of calculating GDP in Bangladesh, we take into account four expenditure components namely1.Private consumption expenditure 2.Govt. consumption expenditure 3.Gross fixed capital formation 4.Net exports

Comment Although expenditure approach is followed in calculating our GDP,BBS also calculates GDP in production method based on value added by industrial activities).But,we prefer the expenditure approach as the best option.
