About Marc • Marc was a serious child because of the influence of his mother. • He enrolled in Munich university as a student of language. • After his first year of military in 1900 he decided to follow his fathers foot steps in becoming a painter.
Marcs family • His dad was a professional landscaper. • His mother was a Strict Calvinist and came from Alsace. • Marc was the only child in his family.
What Marc accomplished • He made a lot of famous paintings like “Dog Lying in the Snow”, “The Yellow Cow”, Deer in the Woods 2”, “Tiger”, “The Fate of the Animals”, “Foxes”, “The Lamb”, “Fighting Forms”. • He created some of the most exciting and touching paintings of the Expressionist Movement.
Marcs Death • Marc died in World War 1 at the age of thirty six but before he died he had made some of the most touching and exciting painting of the Expressionist movement.
Why I chose Marc • I chose him because all of his art works were different than any other artist that I looked at. • He was also young when he died so he could have done a lot more paintings.
