Psalm 33 To be read as prompted by the lector. 1

Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous.* Praise befits the upright. 2 Praise the Lord with the lyre;* make melody to him with the harp of ten strings. 3 Sing to him a new song;* play skilfully on the strings, with loud shouts. 4 For the word of the Lord is upright,* and all his work is done in faithfulness. 5 He loves righteousness and justice;* the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. 13

The Lord looks down from heaven;* he sees all humankind. 14 From where he sits enthroned he watches* all the inhabitants of the earth— 15 he who fashions the hearts of them all,* and observes all their deeds. 16 A king is not saved by his great army;* a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. 17 The war horse is a vain hope for victory,* and by its great might it cannot save. 18 Truly the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him,* on those who hope in his steadfast love, 19 to deliver their soul from death,* and to keep them alive in famine. 20 Our soul waits for the Lord;* he is our help and shield. 21 Our heart is glad in him,* because we trust in his holy name. 22 Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,* even as we hope in you.

The Gospel of the Lord Praise to you, Lord Christ

The Nicene Creed Please stand.

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

The Communion Hymns Please be seated and sing

It is Well with My Soul When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say, It is well, it is well, with my soul. Refrain It is well, It is well, With my soul, with my soul, It is well, it is well, with my soul. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, Let this blest assurance control, That Christ has regarded my helpless estate, And hath shed His own blood for my soul. My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole, Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul! And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, Even so, it is well with my soul.

(Opening Worship) (Opening Worship) Beautiful Savior All my days I will sing the song of gladness Give my praise to the fountain of delights For in my helplessness, you hear my cry And waves of mercy poured down on my life

God of This City You’re the God of this city You’re the King of these people You’re the Lord of this nation You are

I will trust in the cross of my Redeemer I will sing of the LAMB that never fails Of sins forgiven, of conscience cleared Of death defeated and life without end

You’re the light in this darkness You’re the hope to the hopeless You’re the peace to the restless You are

(Chorus) Beautiful Savior, wonderful counselor Clothed in majesty, Lord of history You're the way, the truth and the life Star of the morning, glorious in holiness You're the risen one, heaven's champion And you reign, you reign over all

(pre-chorus) There is no one like our God There is no one like our God

I long to be where the praise is never ending Yearn to dwell where the glory never fades Where countless worshippers will share one song And cries of ‘worthy’ will honor the Lamb

(chorus) Greater things are yet to come And greater things have still to be done In this city Greater things are yet to come And greater things are still to be done In this city How great is our God Sing with me how great is our God And all will sing how great, how great Is our God Name above all names Worthy of all praise My heart will sing How great, is our God
