Bugsy Malone

In 2009, we performed a play called Bugsy Malone as the school play. We had to audition for our parts and I auditioned for the character Baby-face and I even got the role. The main characters were Bugsy, Blousey, Fat Sam, Tallulah, Dandy Dan and Fizzy. The play was about the trouble with hoodlums and gang warfare and also how Bugsy changes everyone’s way. My first favourite thing was the dress rehearsal where we put on our makeup and costumes on when we acted with other KPPS students in the audience watching us. It got me really excited. My second favourite thing was the night I performed because I felt proud to have my role and act in front the parents watching and also my parents. My third favourite thing was sharing our really nervous nerves with each other when we were about to act and I also loved to make all the props in art because it was so, so fun! Overall the excitements and nerves I got from the play, I was thrilled to act and I had a wonderful time, no matter if it was dress rehearsals, remembering lines, making props or watching people act. I learnt many things to do when you’re acting and to stay quiet when I was in the audience. Amanda 6G
