Open front cover to expose printer cartridges and press #1 on the number keys. Step 2.) Scroll down to find and select the appropriate toner cartridge to reset: K.TNR-STD (Standard Capacity) K.TNR-HC (High Capacity) K.TNR-S.HC (Unknown) C.TNR-STD (Standard Capacity) C.TNR-HC (High Capacity) C.TNR-S.HC (Unknown) M.TNR-STD (Standard Capacity) M.TNR-HC (High Capacity) M.TNR-S.HC (Unknown) Y.TNR-STD (Standard Capacity) Y.TNR-HC (High Capacity) Y.TNR-S.HC (Unknown) Press OK to Reset - Machine should display "Accepted" --------------------------------------------------------MFC-7840W; MFC-7360N; MFC-8480 ( TN360 Toner Cartridge ) 1. open the front door where you access the toner. 2. press the Clear/Back button. You will be shown a dialogue "REPLACE DRUM? 1.Yes 2.No 3. DO not type in 1 or 2! instead, type in *00 on the keypad and you should be rewarded with "accepted" 4. Close the front door. Toner counter is reset. ---------------------------------------------------------HL-3070 / HL-4570CDW / HL-4150CDN 1. Open Cover where you access toner cartridges 2. Press CANCEL & SECURE PRINT buttons at one time and you'll see the toner menus on screen 3. Press + or - to navigate through to the toners you need to reset. Hit "Y" to reset the toner. Scroll through and repeat for each toner color as necessary. 4. Hit OK button when prompted. Reset menu for the durable parts counters: 1. Open cover where you access toners 2. Press GO and + button at once, you'll see menu come up displaying reset counters for drum, fuser, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------MFC-9320; MFC 9120CN; MFC-9010CN 1. Open the lid 2. Press "Clear/Back" button
3. Use arrows to select toner in question ("std" or "str" I assume is for "standard" or "starter" 4. Select option #1 "reset" 5. LCD will read "accepted" --------------------------------------------------------MFC-7820N; MFC-7420 (using TN-350) displaying 'Toner Life End': 1. open front cover 2. while front cover is open and machine is on, push "options" 3. push start 4. (quickly) type in '1' then '0' (typing in "10") . if you are not quick enough in this step, start from the beginning 5. the machine says 'accepted' 6. toner counter is reset ------------------------------------------------------------MFC 9840CDW; MFC 9440CN; MFC-9650 1. Turn on the printer. 2. Push the button on the front of the printer to open the cartridge door. Do not remove the cartridges. 3. Push the Clear/Back button and hold till to bring up a reset menu. There are 8 different toner functions ( two Black, two Cyan , two Magenta, and two Yellow). 4. For each of these eight functions in turn, push the O.K. button and then push it again to indicate ‘Reset’. After a few seconds, it will say ‘Accepted’ and will then display a message that the cover is open. 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each of the 8 toner functions. 6. When finished, close the door and the status bar will be reset to normal with no error message. -----------------------------------------------------------------If the toner cartridge model is TN450, do the following steps to clear the error: a. Turn off the power switch on the machine. b. Verify the front cover is open. c. Hold the GO button while powering on the printer. All LEDs turn on and the Ready LED will turn off. d. When the Ready LED turns off, release the GO button. All LEDs will turn off. e. Press the GO button 2 times (Toner, Drum, and Error LEDs turn on).
f. Press the GO button 7 times. All LEDs turn off and then the Error LED will turn on. g. When the Error LED stays on, close the front cover. The Error LED will turn off and the Ready LED will flash briefly. h. Verify the Ready LED is on steady and the Toner LED is off. -------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP BY STEP reset imaging drum Q3964A in HP 2550 READ THROUGH THE PROCEDURE BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND IT and KNOW WHAT TO PRESS NEXT BEFORE HAND! Of course, as a standard disclaimer, use at your own risk. You are responsible for the consequences, blah, blah.. 1) Ensure that all printer cartridges and the drum are installed 2) Printer - OFF with power button 3) GREEN GO BUTTON - HOLD 4) POWER BUTTON ON 5) The 3 lights above the green GO button and below the red CANCEL button will go ON (in no particular order) and then OFF (this will happen quickly, under 10 seconds, but may vary) 6) AS SOON AS THE 3 LIGHTS ARE OFF - RELEASE GREEN GO BUTTON (the important thing here is not to miss when all of the three lights turn off and be ready to release the GO button and to proceed with the next step. You may have as little as 5 seconds. If you wait too long some of the lights will go back ON and you will have to start over.)
7) IMMEDIATELY - PRESS AND HOLD RED CANCEL BUTTON 8) IMMEDIATELY - PRESS and HOLD CARTRIDGE SELECTION BUTTON 9) IMMEDIATELY - RELEASE both RED CANCEL BUTTON and CARTRIDGE SELECT BUTTON
