dance in the district. Students will be eligible to receive secondary credit for completing any of these programs providing they meet established district and state requirements. Tuition and fees shall be made available to eligible students in accordance with the State School Aide Act and Public Acts 159, 160 and 161.

Who Is Eligible?
How is Cr edit Granted? •

The credit will be posted on the high school transcript and the grade received for the classwill be the grade reported. The grade that the student receives from the community college WILL be calculated into their high school GPA.

College credit is awarded by the college. Students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor at the college they would like to attend to ensure the classes they take through dual enrollment correspond to their post-secondary goals.
Any junior or senior student who meets the following requirements: •
Students who dual enroll will earn college and high school credit (.5) for each class they successfully complete.
Students must have taken and passed all parts of the MME with a 1 or 2 in order to dual enroll.

Students must have taken and passed the highest level course that AHS offers in the subject that the student wishes to dual enroll for.
•
Students must be on track to graduate with their class.
•
Juniors who wish to dual enroll must have taken and passed all section of the PLAN test.
•
If the student can earn comparable credit by taking an AP class at the high school, they may not dual enroll for the class.
Tuition expenses are paid by the school district in accordance with the requirements of the PSEO Act.

Students are responsible for transportation, parking expenses, books, and other materials required for the class.

How do I Apply? •
Students need to schedule an appointment with Mrs. Coss to discuss the application process, and the impact that dual enrollment will have on his/her high school schedule and graduation requirements.
