BREAST CANCER TREATMENT IN LOS ANGELES Diagnosed with Breast Cancer in Los Angeles? Integrative Immunotherapy is a very comprehensive treatment program that is designed to stimulate the body’s own cancer fighting mechanisms to recognize and eliminate cancer cells. It integrates effective state-of-the-art technologies including cancer vaccines and other scientifically validated therapies. It has become internationally known for its remarkable outcomes in the treatment of advanced cancers including advanced breast cancer. Integrative Immunotherapy is a very comprehensive strategy for cancer of all types and stages and always adjusted to individual needs. Its basic components are non-toxic. They can be combined with conventional treatments, if indicated, or administered on their own. What is Breast Cancer? Breast Cancer is the growth of one or more cancerous tumors in the mammary gland and tissues of a woman’s breast. Breast Cancer has increased in the countries of western civilization during the past decades and become the most prominent female cancer. In very rare cases, breast cancer also develops in men. There are several types and stages of breast cancer. •

Inflammatory breast cancer is characterized by a diffused inflammation and enlargement of the breast, sometimes without a mass. Ductal carcinoma in situ is the most common type of noninvasive breast cancer with cancer cells found within the milk ducts but not yet spread into the breast tissue. Invasive ductal carcinoma is the most common type of invasive breast cancer and is responsible for approximately 80% of all cancers. With this type of carcinoma cancer cells are found in both the milk ducts and the breast tissue. Invasive ductal

carcinoma may spread (metastasize) to other parts of the body if not stopped. Invasive lobular carcinoma is responsible for approximately 10 to 15% of all breast cancers. With this type of carcinoma cancer cells first grow in the lobes of the breast and have the ability to spread to other parts of the breast and also to other parts of the body.

Stage 0 ( Carcinoma in Situ) Carcinoma in Situ means that there are abnormal cells either in the lobular lining (LCIS) or in the ductal lining (DCIS), but have not yet moved to other breast tissue. The diagnosis of LCIS increases the risk of cancer for both breasts and DCIS can become invasive if left untreated. Stage I In Stage I Breast Cancer the tumor is no larger than three-quarters of an inch (2 centimeters) across and cancer cells have not been found in other parts of the body. Stage II A Stage II tumor is typically between 2 to 5 centimeters (threequarters of an inch to 2 inches) across. In Stage II the cancer may have spread to lymph nodes near the breast. Stage III Stage III is considered a locally advanced cancer that has spread to nearby tissue or lymph nodes. Stage IV Stage IV Cancer has spread to other parts of the body. Experience has shown that even in advanced stages of breast cancer an immune response with complete long-term remission could be achieved and patients remained cancer free for decades. The criteria of diagnosing and staging are the same for every patient. However, even if the pathological diagnosis shows the same type of cancerous cell and the staging shows the same state of progression, every patient has her own individual cancer as a result from many different combinations of causal factors ranging from inherited constitution and disposition to adopted life style.

Unless the preconditions for the growth of cancerous tumors are corrected, the high risk of disease progression and recurrence remains. Conventional cancer therapies, although having made great strides in their ability to eradicate cancer cells and tumors, are merely aimed at the malignancy and ignore, and sometimes aggravate, the underlying condition, which led to the formation of the tumor in the first place. Studies revealed that the optimal strategy in the fight against breast cancer, and other cancers, integrates Standard Conventional Treatments with non-toxic Immunotherapy designed to restore the natural regulatory, repair and immune functions, thus achieving better outcomes.
