Workshops Participants will work with masks, improvisation and physical theatre. We will look at ‘first meetings’, ‘rekindling old friendships’, at ‘ships in the night’ and through physical skills, improvisation and whatever, we will transform these meetings into a visually exciting, dynamically composed piece of theatre.

We will work with: Physical skills Masks Chorusing Improvisational exercises to create physical sculptures and choreography Two person choric story-telling Paths to non-naturalistic dramatisation of narrative Ways to 'fuse' together all of the above into an exciting piece of theatre.

You will need: Wear comfortable Black clothing suitable for movement Bring music (instruments/CDs) optional

Chris Graham Over the last 16 years Chris has run theatre training and workshops throughout New Zealand in schools, tertiary acting courses and community groups. As co Director at Nga Moemoea A Te Rangatahi during the late 1990’s through to 2002, he worked with youth on Marae, devising shows to tour within their communities. Since then he has continued to teach and work in the industry, more recently joining The Red Leap Theatre co in their production of The Arrival which premiered at this years Auckland Arts Festival.
