Board Book Workshop This is a 12-page Board Book. I created my Board Book using Sweet Pea Level II Paper Pack and coordinating My Stickease. I love the 4-sheet My Stickease packs because you get the Alphas & Tags besides the other stickers. Supplies: 1 - Level II Paper Pack 1 – Set coordinating My Stickease 52" Gingham Ribbon #1 30" Second Gingham Ribbon #2 12” of 1/8” wide Ribbon #3 1 - 6x6 Board Book 5 Brads 1/2 Pkg. Circle Tags

Supplies provided: Glue Dots Hole Puncher Corner Rounder Punch Finishing files

Supplies needed: 1 Big Flower Accent or other COVER accent Straight Trimmer Straight Scissors

Instructions: Start by corner rounding the pages of the Board Book (BB). You may use your corner rounder to do this or use it to make a rounded impression and then trim with scissors. Smooth rough edges with finishing files as necessary. Your paper packs come with 6 different patterns and 3 colors of card stock (CS) and neutral CS. Choose a pattern for the cover (P1). The rest of the patters will be designated as P2, P3, P4, P5 and P6. Choose 2 colors for CS—CS1 and CS2.

Front and Back Cover: Start with a 6x6” piece of P1 and round 2 right corners and adhere to book cover. Trim and smooth edges as needed. Take a second 6x6” piece of CS1 and round the 2 left corners. Adhere paper to back of book, trim and smooth edges as needed. Cut a 6x2.5” piece of CS1 and wrap around spine of book. About one inch is on the front cover. Cut a 22” piece of gingham ribbon #1 which will be used to wrap ribbon thru center page and tie around spine of book. Secure bow with glue dot if needed. Embellish the cover using alphabet Stickease and brads. Adhere flower or other cover accent to lower right corner of layout using glue dots.

Pages 1 and 2: Start with a 6x6’ piece of P2 paper. Use corner rounder to round the two left corners. Adhere paper to inside of front cover; then trim and smooth paper edges as needed. Take a second 6x6” piece of P2 and round the two right corners. Adhere paper to book then trim and smooth edges as needed. Cut a 6x2 piece of CS2 and adhere to right side of page as shown. Cut a 6x1.75” piece of P5; and adhere to CS2 border. Fold a tab MyStickease in half and stamp or use word sticker; then adhere it to the top right page as shown. Or if you have no tab stickers you can create one from a 2x1.5” piece of CS1. Round the top two corners of the square. Add any word from stickers or stamp a word on the tab and adhere to upper right side of page to create a “file tab”. Cut a 5x4” piece of CS2 for photo mat and adhere to page 1.

Pages 3 and 4: Start with a 6x6 piece of P3 paper. Corner round the two left corners. Adhere paper to book then trim and smooth edges as needed. Take a second piece of P3 and corner round the two right corners. Adhere paper to book then trim and smooth edges as needed. Cut a 3x4” piece of CS1 and tear ½” off the top edge. Apply adhesive only to the sides and bottom of paper; then adhere to page to create a pocket, as shown. Cut a 2x4” tag from CS2. Thread with Ribbon2 and slip tag into pocket. Before adhering tag, decorate page with two border stickers. Embellish pocket with sticker and metal tag and add word to pocket. Cut a 4x5” mat from CS1. (Punch or create mini tags from CS1 & 2 and P2. Tie a knot in a 3 to 4” piece of ribbon3 and glue dot to mini tag).

Pages 5 and 6: Start with a 6x6 piece of P1 paper (same as used on Cover). Corner round the two left corners. Adhere paper to book then trim and smooth edges as needed. Take a second piece of P1 and corner round the two right corners. Adhere paper to book then trim and smooth edges as needed. If you add a border sticker to page only adhere portion outside matte so that you can add picture before adhering across the page.

Pages 7 and 8: Start with a 6x6” piece of P4 paper. Corner round the two left corners. Adhere paper to book then trim and smooth edges as needed. Take a second piece of P4 and corner round the two right corners. Adhere paper to book then trim and smooth edges as needed. Cut a 6x6” piece of CS1 and fold in half, leaving about ¼” which you will fold over to complete pocket. Cut approximately ½” off the top of pocket at an angle that drops to about 1”. Cut a 2.75x5” tag from P2 (which I reinforced by adhering it to neutral CS). Thread with Ribbon2 and slip tag into pocket. Embellish Pocket with stickers. Cut a 1.5x6” piece of CS1 and for the border on page 8. Cut a 1.25x6” piece of P2 and adhere to CS1. Select a tab sticker to place on the top of border and select a word for tab. Adhere border and tab to page 8. Or if no tab sticker, cut a 1.5x2” piece of CS2. Add word to tab. User corner rounder to round the top two corners to create a file tab. Add sticker accent to upper right corner of page 8. After this picture was taken, I tied 2 knotted bows from ribbon2 and 1 knotted bow from ribbon 1 and adhered them in a row to the border on page 8 like the picture below with the chocolate, blush, chocolate bows.

Pages 9 and 10: Start with a 6x6 piece of P5 paper. Corner round the two left corners. Adhere paper to book then trim and smooth edges as needed. Take a second piece of P5 and corner round the two right corners. Adhere paper to book then trim and smooth edges as needed. Cut a 3x4” piece of CS2 and tear ½” off the top edge. Apply adhesive only to the sides and bottom of paper; then adhere to page to create a pocket, as shown. Cut a 2x4” tag from CS1. Thread with Ribbon1 and slip tag into pocket. Embellish pocket with sticker or add metal tag with accent and add word to pocket. Cut a 4x5” mat from CS2. Tape a strip of ribbon2 across picture on either side. Then take a small piece of ribbon2 and tie a knot bow and clip. (Much easier than trying to tie two pieces of ribbon together).

Pages 11 and 12: Start with a 6x6” piece of P6 paper. (I actually added random stamping to my pattern 6 using the Tickled Pink SS.) Corner round the two left corners. Adhere paper to book then trim and smooth edges as needed. Take a second piece of P4 and corner round the two right corners. Adhere paper to book then trim and smooth edges as needed. Cut a 6x6” piece of CS2 and fold in half, leaving about ¼” which you will fold over to complete pocket. Cut approximately ½” off the top of pocket at an angle that drops to about 1”. Cut a 2.75x5” tag from P4 (which I reinforced by adhering it to neutral CS). Thread with Ribbon2 and slip tag into pocket. Embellish Pocket with stickers. Cut a 1.75” border from P2 and adhere to page 12. Cut a 3.5x4” matte from CS2. Finally select a tab sticker to place on the lower left side of page 12 and select a word for tab. Or if no tab sticker, cut a 1.5x2” piece of CS2. Add word to tab. User corner rounder to round the top two corners to create a file tab. Embellish the rest of the page as desired. NOTE: On all the tags with pockets, I cut a ¾” circle of pattern paper and adhered it to the tag before punching the hole and threading the ribbon. It just seems to jazz it up a little more. Have a terrific workshop or just enjoy making your Board Book. Kathleen Androlewicz
