Stop Hypertension with the Acupuncture Research Program (SHARP) • 192 participants with untreated moderate to severe hypertension • Three treatments: individualized traditional Chinese acupuncture, standardized acupuncture at preselected points, or invasive sham acupuncture • No benefit was detected.
