This Data Eraser guide gives you all the information you need to remove your personal information from your phone. Remember to always discontinue service on your phone prior to reselling, donating, or recycling it - contact your service provider for more information.

Data Erasing Guide RTN (Reset to New):

1) Scroll T to Options, Press Return 2) Scroll T to Security, Press Return 3) (Password) Press E for Enable 4) Press Scrolling Wheel 5) Scroll S to Change Password, Press Return 6) Type ‘password1’ as the password, Press Return and re-enter ‘password1’ when prompted, Press Return 7) Press (x2) END 8) Scroll T to Turn Power Off, Press Return 9) Press Power ON Button 10) Press Return 11) Scroll S to Unlock, Press Return 12) When prompted to enter password enter incorrect password (such as ‘fail’). Press Return 13) When Incorrect password! Is displayed, Press Return

14) Repeat steps 10-13 ten times (Notice that the counter will keep track of each time the password is entered incorrectly. For example 3/10, 4/10) 15) If prompted to “Enter Blackberry to continue” type ‘blackberry’, Press Return 16) Ignore warning after 9th attempt, Press Return 17) After 10th attempt device will Reset to New and be Cleared Default messages will be present after RTN

Phone Number:

This process does not remove the associated phone number from the phone.
