For international connectivity to the west, the Company is a member of the South East Asia-Middle East-Western Europe – 4 (SEAME-WE-4) consortium along with 15 other global telecom operators.

Future Outlook Bharti Airtel the leader in India in the subscriber’s base is expected to reach 100m by 2010/11and according to Mr. Sunil Mittal the group turnover is expected to reach USD7.5 billion by 2010. To improve the operational and service efficiency Airtel’s CIO Dr. Jai Menon has implemented the strategy of outsourcing such as billing, customer care and enterprise including IT and intranets to IBM, Nortel and Oracle. On the other end it has plans to expand its network from 3800 to 5200 towns. It has a capital expenditure plan of USD1.8 -2 billion in FY07. Bharti has plans to grow organically in the international markets and has bagged licenses to provide ILD services in the UK. Bharti is introducing innovative VAS such as Easy Music for, customers availing the facility on any handset through its outlets.
