Royal Bangle Tiger
Male Bengal Tigers measure around 6 to 9 feet in lengt and 9 to 12 feet with their tail. Weight is around 400 to 660 pounds Majority of cubs are born between February and May after a pregnancy of three and a half months. Females will have a litter every 2-3 years. They usually don't live longer than 26 years. 10/17/08

Oriental Magpie Robin •19cm long, including the long cocked tail. The Oriental Magpie Robin, called the Dhayal in Bangladesh. This is a native species in Singapore, where it is known by the Malay names Kampung/Cerang. 10/17/08

Hilsa Fish
Hilsa (Bangla: Ilish) is the national fish of Bangladesh. Hilsa is mainly available in the major Bangladesh rivers of the Padma (lower Ganges), Meghna, and Jamuna (lower Brahmaputra). Those from the Padma are considered to be the best in taste. 10/17/08
Hilsa is not just a fish to the Bengalis. It is a part of their culture. In many Bengali Hindu families two Hilsa fishes (Joda Ilish) are bought on special auspicious days, like some pujas. Hilsa is an important source of foreign exchange for Bangladesh. 6
White Water Lily •The Water Lily ( shapla) is the national flower of Bangladesh. It is found almost in every water body in the country.

Kabadi
Kabaddi (sometimes written Kabbadi or Kabadi) is a team sport originally from South Asia. It is popular throughout South Asia and Southeast Asia. It is the national game of Bangladesh, and the state game of Punjab and Andhra Pradesh in India. The name — often chanted during a game — derives from a Hindi word meaning "holding of breath", which is indeed the crucial aspect of play. 10/17/08

Kazi Nazrul Islam(1898-1976) Poet-icon of Bangladesh
Kazi Nazrul Islam was born on the 25th May 1898 at Churulia in the district of Burdwan, West Bengal, India. This partiot, poet, composer writer, political figure or the myriad minded man edited a politico-cultural magazine "Dhumketu". The poet died at Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh as National poet on the 29th August 1976. Nazrul Institute, an institution works for research and propagating the poets life, works and ideals, is situated in Dhaka with several branches in divisional towns. Bangla Academy has published collected works of the poet to celebrate the poets birth centenary in the year(1999).

Area and Population
The population of Bangladesh ranks seventh in the world.
Its area of approximately 144,000 square kilometers (56,000 mi²) is ranked ninety-fourth.

Nobel Prize In Peace-Dr. Md. Yunus
Dr. Muhammad Yunus (born June 28, 1940) is a Bangladeshi banker and economist. He is famous for his successful application of the concept of microcredit, the extension of small loans to entrepreneurs too poor to qualify for traditional bank loans. He is the author of Banker to the Poor and a founding board member of Grameen Foundation. Yunus recently launched a political party in Bangladesh, Nagorik Shakti (Citizen Power),. Yunus and the bank were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, "for their efforts to create economic and social development from below. 10/17/08
