ATLANTA  Atlanta

is situated in the southern part of United states of America.  It is the capital and the most populous city of Georgia.  It is the ninth most populous metropolitan city of United states.  It is consider the entertainment and cultural center of the south.

 Atlanta

is the home for 4 million people.  It attracts more than 17 million travelers every year.  The currency of Atlanta is US dollar.  Atlanta is popularly known as "The City Too Busy to Hate."  Atlanta is the one of the three cities of United states to the Summer Olympic games.

HISTORY 

Atlanta history is revealed through the people and events that grew this settlement into an international city.



The beautiful and serene green spaces once were the battlefields of a nation torn apart in civil war.



1847: Atlanta was incorporated as a city.



1861: The Civil War began. Atlanta was considered the transportation hub of the Southeast.

 1864:

During the Civil War, Union General William T. Sherman burned Atlanta to the ground.  1929: The city purchased Candler Field (now the site of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport), which was handling 16 passenger and airmail flights daily.  1939 : The movie "Gone With the Wind" made its world premiere in Atlanta.  1950: After fifty years, the Confederate Memorial carving on Stone Mountain is completed and dedicated.

 1964:

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Atlanta native, won the Nobel Peace Prize.

CLIMATE  Atlanta

has a humid sub-tropical climate.  It has a hot and humid summer.  It has mild to chilly winter.  July highs average 90 °F (32 °C) or above, and low average 67 °F (19 °C).  January is the coldest month, with an average high of 50 °F (10 °C), and low of 29 °F (-1 °C).

ATLANTA BOTANICAL GARDEN 







The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a 30 acre located adjacent to piedmont park in Midtown Atlanta. The Atlanta Botanical Garden was incorporated in1976. The mission of the Atlanta Botanical Garden is to develop and maintain plant collections for display, education, research, conservation and enjoyment The 16,000 square foot Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory contains indoor exhibits of plants from tropical rainforest and deserts.

MARTIN LUTHER KING NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE  Martin

Luther King, Jr. was one of the main leaders of the American civil rights movement.  King is the youngest people to receive the Noble peace prize.  King was assassinated on April4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee.

THE GEORGIA AQUARIUM  The

Georgia aquarium is located Atlanta, Georgia,pemberton place.  It is the worlds largest aquarium with more than 8.1 million gallons of marine and fresh water.  It is the house of 1,00,000 animals of 500 spices.  Aquarium most notable spices are Whale sharks and Beluga whales

PIEDMONT PARK 





Piedmont Park is the 189 acre “Central park" of Atlanta,Georgia located in Midtown, north of the city center. The cotton states aand international exposition of 1895 attracted visitors from around the world to the future site of Piedmont Park. The park is home to various annual celebrations and events, including Atlanta pride festival, the Atlanta jazz festival and the Atlanta dogwood festival.

GRANT PARK  Grant

Park is the oldest city park in Atlanta, Georgia, United states.  The park serves over two million visitors per year.  Grant Park has two major attractions besides the park itself: Zoo Atalanta, established in 1889.

STONE MOUNTAIN  Stone

Mountain is a granite dome monadnock located in stone mountain Georgia.  Stone Mountain is claimed by some to be the largest exposed granite 'stone' in the world.  Three figures of the confederate states of America are carved there: stonewall jackson, Robert E.Lee, and Jefferson Davis.

CNN CENTER  The

CNN Center is the world headquarters of the Cablenewsnetwork (CNN). The main news rooms and sets for the anchors of several of CNN's news channels are located in the building.

THE WORLD OF COCO COLA  The

World of Coca-Cola is a permanent exhibition featuring the history of The coco cola company  It is located at Pemberton place.  It is an 20arc complex.

ATLANTA ZOO 

  



Zoo Atlanta is an Associatons of Zoo and Aquariums-accredited wildlife park and major attraction in Atlanta. The 40 acre zoo is founded in1889. There are 1000 animals representing 250 species. The zoo is also the home for the popular Willie.B(gorilla). Other significant animal exhibits include sumatran orangutans, black rhino, African elephants and a Komodo dragon.

VISA FORMALITIES  Documents

required..  Valid passport.  The passport must be valid for the entire duration of the stay.  One photograph  Completed application form DS-156  Evidence of purpose of trip.  There are two types of visas, immigrant and non immigrant.

Time required to issue visa Varies with each embassy.  Interview appointment waiting time is usually 25 to 30 days.  Visa processing time is usually 5 to 7 working days. 
