Responding to poetry, G8 poetry presentations TASK Create a presentation based around one or more of the poems that you have read form the poetry 180 website. Options: (1) A transformation of the poem into another form followed by an explanation. (2) A reading of the poem followed by a commentary. (3) A comparison of the poem with another text (poem, film, novel etc) explaining the connections in terms of theme or subject or style. (4) Write a poem in response to one of the poems in the list and explain how they relate to each other. (5) Another idea you have discussed with your teacher

Source: The Poetry 180 website has provided each of you with the opportunity to read a wide selection of modern poetry selected for middle and high school students. Undoubtedly, you found some poems which fed your intellect and imagination and other poems which you would not even feed to your pets. Hopefully from the 180 poems on offer at least one or two will get you thinking.
