Question and Answer Creating lists and answering questions is a good way for me to get to know each of you a bit better in a short period of time. Answer the following in your sketchbook and create a VISUALLY PLEASING page layout using any materials that are available to you!!!! NOTE: If you ask me what “visually pleasing” means then you will ultimately limit the many different ways you can do it! 1. What is your favorite type of art and art movement in history? 2. What is “good?”…What defines good artwork? What criteria/strengths should something have in order to be considered a good work of art? 3. What is a cliché? How do you identify “teen clichés” and then avoid them in making art? 4. What characteristics/qualities should a person have to be considered an artist? 5. What do you feel are your artistic strengths/qualities? 6. What is your favorite thing to do on a snow day? 7. Desk: messy or organized? Ever considered why? 8. Think of hobbies, activities, or everyday interests that you have and love to do that are completely unrelated to making art, yet are still unique or important to you. List a few here… 9. What is a connection between that interest/hobby and your own process/perspective of making art? Explain how they might relate to one another. 10. What place in the US would you most like to visit? Why? 11. What place outside of the US would you most like to visit? Why? 12. Name a few things that you can't stand whatsoever. 13. How do you gain acceptance of something you really don’t like? 14. Are you always early or terminally late? 15. What is your favorite book you have ever read? 16. What talent would class members be surprised to hear you have? 17.
