Customize Supplier Password Sourcing We have policies in maintaining password in our company. With that said I would like to inquire if there is a way to: 1) Set a limit for the supplier password. (e.g After 60 days, the supplier should change his/her password) 2) Set a limit for incorrect logins of supplier (e.g. If the supplier has entered 3 consecutive incorrect password, the password will be lock) 3) Can we manipulate the password such that it generates a password with both numbers and letters?

In supporting the Online eRFx tool, I have been asked by several sourcing leads as to how the supplier is able to print their submitted bid. I just ran a complete test as a Test Supplier and looked at every opportunity to print. It seems that the system only gives the supplier the ability to print the basic bid questions. I didn't find a way to print the supplier's bid response, which would show all the questions along with the responses the supplier entered. I need help in finding how this can be done so that I can do a procedure document that can be given to the supplier. Thanks.

Email Approvals on ACM We are investigating about the Email Approval feature on ACM. As we can see in the parameters.table, there are parameters regarding this feature but we are not able to make it work yet. We set the EmailApprovalEnabled parameter to true and other parameters, we receive an email notification telling about the approval which contains the approve and deny links. However, either links do not automatically approve nor deny. As we looked into PDF, it says about EmailApprovalEnabled parameter that when it is set to true, the approver will receive emails related to Approva, Review or Negotiations. And that it works differently in Ariba Buyer and email approvals are not supported in ACM. Does it mean that ACM really don't have this feature? Or are we just missing something in setting the parameters to make it work successfully?

5/3/06 Closed as per Ariba: There is no way to have two, separate pages for logins onto the same Sourcing site. 5/3/06 Ariba's response: I believe you can setup the site to your liking with dual-web servers, one for the internal folks, and one in the DMZ for the external suppliers.

5/3/06

6/6/06 We do not support security patches.

6/6/06

6/1/06 When changing the password through the Security-Users, the email notifications for the password change needs to be sent out manually. 6/27/06 This got resolved after rolling back SSL changes.

6/27/06

7/5/06 Closed. The scheduled task for Search is working in Prod and UAT now after applying the Parameter change. As per Thiago keeping parameter off is the resolution for this issue. 6/28/06 Schedule Task change is being tested in DEV currently. 6/13/06 The logs have been sent to Ariba.l Waiting for thier response. 5/31/06 Test results showed that Cartesian joins are still being created. Ariba is investigating (1) possibility of replacing bind variables with actual values in search queries. (2) Why the UpdateFreeTextSearchTask is not syncing in database. 5/23/06 We will be sending some test results for disabling Cartesian joins from UAT to Ariba. Ariba has also suggested to turn off one parameter "Application.ACM.Search.UseC ursorMode". 5/17/05 Ariba says there is nothing wrong in there queries. Thiago has asked us to turn off one parameter. We are also testing Ariba susggestions. 5/3/06 I have forwarded Thiago's suggestions for changing some paramters on ACM database tohandle this issue.

8/4/06 Closed. Need to upgrade to SP16 to get the Schedule task working which fixes the bad baseids. 8/1/06 Will be sending some morre information to Ariba. 7/24/06 Scheduled Task ran for 3 days (and 18 hrs) and failed. 8/4/06

8/3/06 Closed. 8/3/06 As per Ariba: "1. Sourcing 4.4 is a full installation; however, you can migrate your transaction database to the new version using the updatedb command. See the Ariba Sourcing Installation and Migration Guide for more information.

8/3/06

2. The compatible versions are Ariba Analysis 3.1.2 (SP12) and Ariba Category Management 2.0.2 (SP12)/Ariba Contract Workbench 3.0.2 (SP12)."

8/3/06 Sourcing 4.4 is not an SP upgrade. 8/15/06 There is no configuration/parameter settings that governs what view (compact/full) is shown. This was resolved internally.

7/21/06 As per Ariba this functionality has not changed. 7/19/06 We have tested and it is defaulting to Dashboard. 7/12/06 We have asked Ariba if this functionality changed between SP6 and SP10. 6/28/06 Ariba has suggested to create a new role to default new users to Dashboard. 6/2/06 I found that if I create a user with Sourcing Authorized, Internal, Analysis Administrator. It defaults to dashboard. If I remove Analysis Administrator, it goes to Sourcing and stays there unless changed. this is dictated by the roles assigned to a user at creation until they personalize it.

8/1/06 Carole says the issue only happens to users in her location in SIT and is not an issue unless it happens in UAT and Prod too. Ariba is saying it may be due to some security patches specific to her desktop. 7/3/06 Have asked Carole to see if the issue is happening to all users in her location. 6/27/06 I am unable to recreate the issue and Ariba says it is because user has could be specific to the Security patches. 6/13/06 Ariba says it could be due to different Security patches. I need to do some more testing. 5/24/06 Waiting for Ariba to setup a Webex meeting with Carole for replicating the issue. 5/8/06 Webex meeting was done and the issue was not replicabel in SIT. 4/26/06 Waiting for Ariba's response. This is happening only in SIT.

09/14/07 RLD: Ariba sent their reply to answer our questions, :"As you know there are two places where you can change the NetworkId of a supplier. The common supplier (SupplierIDs.csv) and the supplier location (SupplierLocationSupplement.csv) . If you change the NetworkId of the supplier in both places then the order that are not fully approved will get routed to the new supplier account (NetworkId) once fully approved as this is impacted by the supplier locations. And the Invoices already created on ASN for the previously approved PO will fail in Buyer (as they are related to common supplier NetworkId) and I can't think of any workaround to get around this. So it may be best for you create a new common supplier (and a partitioned supplier) with the new NetworkId and then delete the current supplier with the current NetworkId once all the PO's are sent and Invoices are fully reconciled 08/22/07 RLD: No Response from Ariba

09/05/07 RLD: Kerry Jo asks "The images on the supplier's site always display as 250 x250, but images that are stored on our server can be much larger. Why is that? Does your statement "Procurement systems (Ariba Buyer) automatically resize original images that you provide to these sizes." only apply to images stored on supplier's websites? ..... The supplier did not specify the image as thumbnail. I have attached two catalogs. The Archway catalog specifies the images that are stored on the supplier's site. The Bradley catalog specifies images that are stored on our site. The Archway images always display as 250 x 250 while the Bradley images are much larger. Please let me know why there is a difference."

Exception ariba.common.core.BadTokenExce ption: ApprovalBadTokenBody” This is error appears only when the token sent from Buyer has been changed. When an Approval email has been sent to the User, two token Id (one for Approve and the other for deny ) are created and are sent along with the email. Once the User approves or denys it, the token ids are sent back to Buyer and the Buyer checks with token id sent earlier with the mail. If both the Ids are same then Buyer performs the corresponding operation else it throws the BadTokenException.

From the E-mail sent in the earlier mail, below is the tokenid for "Deny" operation. [X] Deny WorkflowActionID,8zrqz46.34,1izj yuerl9qe4,1npqq.28,2,1npqq.28; But in the logs, in the tokenid an extra space has been added to it which is causing the e-mail to fail. (notification:debug): SMTPApprovableReceipt: Extracted Token is WorkflowActionID,8zrqz46.34,1izj yuerl9qe4,1npqq.28,2,1 npqq.28; Buyer sends the email and then receives the email and hence there is no way of Buyer adding the space. Could you please check the mail application or other security softwares which might have added space to the TokenId Since you havent received my earlier mail, I am attaching my earlier mail also for your reference. Please let me know if you have further queries.

If they're using an invoice poster tool but do not change their routing method, it is possible that they had "online" as the routing method configured on their account (unless they explicitly configured to cXML).
