THESIS STATEMENT Smoking in public places should be banned due to the increasing numbers of death. TOPIC SENTENCE 1 The smokers do not agree if smoking in public places is banned. Supporting sentences : 1. The smokers surely do not agree if smoking in public places is banned. 2. It is their choices to go to everywhere they wish and smoke there. 3. They can smoke everywhere because it only harms themselves not the others. 4. Smoking in public places surely harms the others too. 5. The non smokers will inhale the cloud of smoke and suffer of it. 6. The smokers have to think and respect the others too. 7. The smokers have to make a distance from others.

8. It is the smokers’ responsibilities to make sure that the others do not inhale the smoke from their cigarettes. TOPIC SENTENCE 2 The smokers think that the passive smokers will not have the same effects as them. Supporting sentences : 1. They think the others will only suffer from the cloud of smoke that is caused by their cigarettes. 2. In short period, it will only make the others cough from the smokers’ cloud of smoke. 3. In long period, the passive smokers will get asthma, lung cancer, stroke and even can die, but still the active smokers will get a higher risk of dying from that disease. TOPIC SENTENCE 3 The smokers are sure that they are not wrong in this case. Supporting sentences : 1. If smoking is banned in public places, it will make them smoking more in the house. 2. They think it is not good to smoke continually in the house because it can affect their family. 3. Smoking banned in public places will not make the smokers smoking more in their house.

4. Instead of that, it will make them reduce their smoking or even give up on smoking. 5. They also should think about the health of others, not only their family. 6. The risk of getting cancer or other diseases will be decreased. 7. They will have a better life if they reduce or even give up on smoking. CONCLUSION Smoking affects the environment and especially endangers the health of people around them. Not only the active smokers, but also the passive smokers can suffer or even die because of the health problems which are caused by inhaling the smoke of cigarettes. It becomes a reason why smoking in the public places should be banned.
