DEFINATION OF AREA Area (mathematics), in mathematics,
the size of an enclosed region, given in terms of the square of a designated unit of length. Formulas for the areas of simple geometric figures include a2 for a square, where a is a side; ab for a rectangle, where a and b are two adjacent sides.
AREA OF RECTANGLE
AREA OF RECTANGLE = LENGTH * BREADTH
EXAMPLE OF AREA OF RECTANGLE IN RECTANGLE ABCD 6CM
LENGTH= 6 C.M BREADTH =3 C.M AREA = L*B = 6 C.M*3 C.M AREA = 18 C.M
3 CM
DEFINATION OF PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE Perimeter, or boundary, the line drawn around the edge of an area or shape. For example, the perimeter of a rectangle is the sum of its four sides.
PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE
PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE = 2 * (LENGTH * BREADTH)
EXAMPLE OF PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE IN RECTANGLE ABCD LENGTH= 6 C.M BREADTH =3 C.M PERIMETER = 2 * (L+B) = 2 * (6 C.M+3 C.M) PERIMETER = 18 C.M
