MERE GREEN NEIGHBOURHOOD FORUM Spring Newsletter

April 2009

NEXT FORUM OPEN MEETING Thursday 23 April 2009 8.00pm Mere Green Community Centre GUEST SPEAKERS We have invited Nathan Greenaway, the new Manager of Somerfields to tell us about the future plans for our Co-op/Somerfields store. We have also asked that a representative from the Four Oaks Neighbourhood Police Team should speak about Neighbourhood Tasking & some issues in our area. RESPONDING TO YOUR REQUESTS At the last Open Meeting you requested speakers as above, so we are trying to do as you have asked. We are also negotiating with representatives from other requested organisations to speak at future Open Meetings

UPDATES about MERE GREEN We hope to hear more from our Four Oaks Councillors About progress or non-progress to improve the centre of Mere Green that will not now be developed by Spring UR THE REGENERATION OF SUTTON TOWN CENTRE We hope you have all taken the opportunity to comment during the extended Consultation. Although we do not live in the town centre, many of us pass through or shop there regularly would like to see improvements as soon as possible. Let us hope that any decisions taken will lead to a better town for future generations.There are many problems, particularly regarding roads & traffic, but they must be overcome.
