In what part of the world does it live? vThe Ararajuba lives in humid tropical forests like Northern Brazil.
What does it look like? v It is considered one of the most beautiful birds. vIt measures approximately 34cm. v It has the same size as a parrot, but has a long tail with feathers of unequal length and a curved beak. v The colour s of its plumage is blonde yellow and green
What does it eat? v
In its natural habitat, the Ararajuba eats
seeds and fruits. v
In captivity it eats seeds, banana, coconut,
orange and papaya.
What does it sound like? v
The Ararajuba is a serene animal.

It is a good whistler, and it is able to learn sounds with melodies.

It also makes other sounds, like: cracks and noises with nozzle (“kiss”).
What are its habits? vThe
ararajuba makes cracks and noise with nozzle for example “kiss”. vThey are very sociable, and even when they have pups, they will not attack. v They always live in groups and are noisy. vThey wake up early and stay awake throughout the day to go to sleep at night. v They always use the nozzle to help climb the branches of trees. v They find it easy to imitate the human voice and like to play too.

main enemy is man.
