Download and do analysis with Ms excel 26 march, 2006
What's the difference between the "Analysis ToolPak" and "Analysis ToolPak - VBA"? The "Analysis ToolPak" makes the expanded set of functions available within your Microsoft Excel worksheets. The "Analysis ToolPak - VBA" makes the functions available to your code modules in Visual Basic for Applications, which also ships with Microsoft Excel. These VBA tools are for more advanced users and software programmers. The Microsoft Excel Analysis ToolPak is included with Microsoft Excel. As of the date this page was created, I am not aware of a way to download the Analysis ToolPak from Microsoft's website or elsewhere. By default, even though the ToolPak comes on your Excel install disks, it may not be activated automatically when you install Excel. In order to make the ToolPak active, you must go through the procedures described in "How to Install the Analysis ToolPak."
Installing the Microsoft Excel Analysis ToolPak is quite easy. First, open Microsoft Excel. Next, select "Add-Ins" from the "Tools" menu, as shown below:
This will open a window showing all available Excel add-ins, illustrated below:
The Analysis ToolPak includes many functions for advanced use of Microsoft Excel. These functions include:
