Abstrak Kerusakan daerah hulu Sungai Batanghari akibat dari perubahan lahan hutan menjadi perkebunan dan sungai menjadi pertambangan mengakibatkan adanya perubahan morfologi sungai dan pencemaran air sungai. Analisis Citra Lansat TM 8 Tahun 2016 menemukan kerusakan hebat di sepanjang alur

sungai dengan luas diperkirakan 10.926 hektar dengan 6.370 hektar berada di Kabupaten Sarolangun dan hasil uji Laboratorium Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Provinsi Jambi menunjukkan, muka air Sungai Batang Asai hulu dan hilir mengandung merkuri 0,003 mg/l dan Sungai Batang Limun hulu 0,005 mg/l, Sungai Batang Limun Hilir 0,004 mg/l. Angka itu melebihi baku mutu Lingkungan dari Keputusan Gubernur Nomor 20 Tahun 2007 sebesar 0,002 mg/l. Bahkan jauh melebihi standar World Health Organization (WHO) batas kandungan merkuri dalam air 0.0001 ppm. Banyaknya aktifitas pertambangan tanpa izin, , kurangnya kesadaran dari masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sungai, lemahnya penegakan hukum dari peraturan perundang-undangan yang telah ditetapkan, minimnya data yang ada mengakibatkan terjadinya penurunan kualitas air Sungai Batanghari. Keterbatasan dan belum adanya data kualitas air secara spasial menjadikan Pemerintah Daerah Provinsi Jambi mengalami kesulitan dalam perencanaan keruangan yang sesuai Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah Provinsi Jambi yang telah dibuat dan ditetapkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh aktifitas pertambangan tanpa izin terhadap kualitas air Sungai Batanghari berbasis spasial. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan model “stratified purpose sampling“ melalui teknik penginderaan jauh dengan wahana citra satelit Landsat-8 ETM dan Principal Compenent Analisis (PCA). Hasil analisis spasial dari pengaruh aktifitas pertambangan tanpa izin akan memudahkan dalam perencanaan kewilayahan Provinsi Jambi dan pengguna air Sungai Batanghari sebagai salah satu fungsi sebagai air baku. THE EFFECT OF ACTIVITIES ILLEGAL MINING (PETI) OF BATANGHARI RIVER ON WATER QUALITY SPATIAL-BASED Damage to the upstream Batanghari River due to changes in forest land to plantations and rivers to mining resulted in changes in river morphology and river water pollution. Analysis of Lansat TM 8 in 2016 found severe damage along the river channel with an estimated area of 10,926 hectares with 6,370 hectares located in Sarolangun District and the results of the test of the Laboratory of the Environmental Service of Jambi Province showed that the upstream and downstream Batang Asai watershed contained mercury 0.003 mg/l and upstream Batang Limun River 0.005 mg / l, Batang River Limun Hilir 0.004 mg /l. That number exceeds the Environmental quality standard from the Governor's Decree Number 20 of 2007 amounting to 0.002 mg / l. Even far beyond the standards of the World Health Organization (WHO) the limit of mercury content in water is 0.0001 ppm. Many mining activities without permits, lack of awareness from the community in river management, weak law enforcement from established legislation, the lack of available data resulted in a decrease in the quality of the Batanghari River water. The limitations and absence of spatial water quality data make the Jambi Provincial Government experience difficulties in spatial planning in accordance with the Jambi Province Spatial Plan that has been made and stipulated. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of unlicensed mining activities on the Batanghari River water quality based on spatial. This research approach uses a "stratified purpose sampling" model through remote sensing techniques with a vehicle of Landsat-8 ETM satellite imagery and Principal Compenent Analysis (PCA). The results of the spatial analysis of the influence of mining activities without permits will facilitate the territorial planning of Jambi Province and Batanghari River water users as a function as raw water.
