Because of the competition, Airbus A380 emerged

1994: first possible designs



2000: program was launched with 8.8 billion $ budget

Delivery and Delays 

First delay in June 2005



Second: 13 June 2006

Third: 3 October 2006,



First delivery for Singapore Airlines in October 2007

Entry into service 





Entry into service planned for October 2007 Qantas has announced it will use the A380 Air France's aircraft will be used on the Paris to Montreal and New York routes.
