www.unicom.co.uk/benefits2 Leading organisations are currently trying to deliver an average of seven major business transformation programmes, all at the same time – and the number is increasing. More than half of these programmes don't deliver their required results. In addition to traditional skills and experience, there are additional skills and experience required for successful business transformation. When successful, transformational change delivers significant rewards. This intensive, interactive workshop builds on the foundation laid in the introductory course – “Introduction to Successful Benefits Realisation (SBR) – A vehicle that realises required benefits from change programmes”. It equips those who are leading or managing transformational change programmes with the mindset, tools and techniques to work successfully with multiple stakeholders, cross-project dependencies and long benefit delivery timescales. Delegates will learn how to realise required benefits from change programmes. Successful Benefits Realisation (SBR) is a complete method and toolkit based on hard experience and common sense. It shows how to understand your current capability and situation and how to actually realise, instead of just defining, the benefits the organisation is looking for. SBR integrates naturally with other popular methods for project and programme management such as MSP 3 and PRINCE2. Strong and sustained engagement of stakeholders throughout the change

process is a critical strength of SBR. The sixstage SBR process can be entered at any stage of a change programme or project. Flexible entry points enable the application of SBR to change programmes that are already being deployed. SBR is iterative, and facilitates the return to earlier stages to accommodate changing circumstances and the continuous optimisation of your programme portfolio. The SBR approach is also applicable at any level within an organisation; it can be applied at: • Board or Executive Team level to clarify, define and communicate business direction and strategy; • Group or Divisional level to analyse and agree the optimum portfolio of change investments; • Programme level, either within a single division or cross-divisional; • Project level or a single project or for a project within a programme of change.
